I would really love to know the story behind this photo. I believe that to be Henry Marean lying down, but can't verify that. I know that he spent the last few years of his life bedridden. This photo was taken on a glass negative. I was able to scan the negative in and then inverse it. The photographer I believe to have been H. Ellioott Marean, the son of Henry. Wiould they have taken the time to set this kind of picture up if Henry was really seriously ill?
What I can only assume is Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner at Henry Marean's house at 17 Murray Street in Binghamton, NY. I don't know the year of the picture or who all of the people in the picture are. I'm kind of betting that the woman to the right of Henry is his wife Maria. Note the more salt and pepper look to the moustache in this image compared to the darker moustache in the picture of the sick man.
